Applicants Qualifications

  • Advanced research and writing skills; 1-3+ years of professional experience preferred

  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must

  • Proficient in use of standard commercial investigative databases preferred, in addition to experience with public record databases as well

  • Use of social media and online internet for research required

  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, while ensuring quality of work

  • Demonstrated ability to look beyond the obvious; being inquisitive and diligent

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to determine relevancy of information

We are looking for a professional with a minimum of 1-3 years of investigative experience -- preferably in law, compliance, or corporate investigative research. Related investigative or fact-finding fields will also be considered. Junior and Senior Research Analyst positions are available, depending on level of direct experience and qualifications.

The position is responsible for conducting deep dive qualitative database and online research of public records and using other information sources, including media research. Familiarity with investigative databases, commonly used in this industry, or use of court databases are preferred, in addition to familiarity with reading legal documents.

The researcher must be able to analyze material (often voluminous amounts) for relevant information and be able to clearly communicate the findings when drafting written reports. LexPro Research coordinating external record searches and other outside vendors or consultants may be required to support the research. Confidentiality on all clients, case work, and firm related methodology, practices, vendors, and resources is essential.

You will work as part of a research team and will report to the Director of Research. Workload will vary during the year, and, frequently, you may be required to work after hours or on a weekend to efficiently manage client reporting needs.

Attention to detail is paramount in addition to strong research and writing skills.
