Chris Procopis

Before co-founding LexPro Research in 2006, Chris’ career spanned over two decades of high-level research, investigations, and management experience. Throughout his career he has handled many types of investigations including cases of an extremely confidential nature requiring maximum discretion. Areas of expertise include domestic and international: due diligence, opposition and background research, merger and acquisition intelligence, white collar crimes, as well as intellectual property, copyright, and trademark infringement matters. Chris has also lectured and trained others in the field of investigation techniques.

Chris spent four years as a manager working with Deloitte in New York. At Deloitte, he coordinated and conducted due diligence investigations for IPOs and mergers and acquisitions, as well as handling international and domestic fraud investigations, complex research analysis, reporting, and training staff on research techniques and public record research.

Chris also worked as a Research Analyst and Investigator for Investigative Group International (IGI) in New York where he managed the research department overseeing case work, staffing, and training. Outside of the office, Chris serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Greyhound Rescue & Rehabilitation, a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising public awareness of the plight of the racing greyhound. Cofounding the organization in May 2000, Chris’ passion for the breed is evident in the many volunteer hours he has devoted to all facets of greyhound rescue.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The American University located in Washington, D.C.



Michael C. Levien

Michael has been working as a private investigator since 1992.  During his career, he has managed numerous international cases in Europe, Asia, Latin and South America, and hundreds of investigations in North America.

Before co-founding LexPro Research, Michael worked for a consulting firm specializing in international intelligence gathering, crisis management, overseas business facilitation, and corporate due diligence. He also managed complex insurance claim investigations and he conducted various risk and security assessments both in the U.S. and abroad.

Michael has also worked on civil litigation disputes, counterfeit merchandise investigations, shareholder proxy battles, environmental investigations, insurance fraud and corporate embezzlement cases. He has several years of experience conducting field operations such as surveillance, undertaking both discreet and traditional interviews, and researching public records.

Michael has a Master of Science in Protection Management from John Jay College of Criminal Justice located in New York, New York, and a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University located in Washington, D.C.



Jeanne M. Carrillo

Jeanne M. Carrillo has recently joined LexPro Research LLC as its Director of Operations. Uniquely qualified in a diverse range of areas in business services, operations, and technology support, Jeanne spent most of her career working at General Reinsurance Corporation, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

As a seasoned manager, she is known for driving internal and external teams, managing global help desk services, command center operations, technology training, and delivering service excellence in business support, including facilities management. While fostering a strong business relationship network, she has led many enhancement initiatives and projects with significant achievements in vendor management, contract negotiation, compliance, and employee communications. Jeanne has leveraged her facilitation expertise and is known for being a collaborative problem solver and recently became a Certified Scrum Master.

Passionate and results-oriented, Jeanne is a multi-tasker with unquestionable integrity and an uncompromising commitment to quality and striving for excellence. Jeanne has also been very active in the Stamford, Connecticut non-profit community. She served as the vice chairperson on non-profit boards, including the Stamford Partnership and the East Side Partnership. She was an active volunteer for the Stamford Youth Foundation as well as for the Westhill High School PTO, where she strategically was involved with major fundraising and public relations. Jeanne is excited to help bring her organizational and interpersonal skills to LexPro Research.
